I like to think of myself as some sort of pseudo liberal intellectual, but clearly have terrible delusions of grandeur. I want to save the world, but have little idea of how to go about this, and even less idea about how to drive traffic to my sparingly viewed blog.
I created this space to try to have a look at the proverbial rear end of the world around us we don’t always like to see. Describing it as the ‘bidet of the media world’, it aims to be that final splash of the blogosphere. Somewhere along the way that message was lost, and now I just post whatever I feel like.
So who am I exactly? Other than someone who enjoys crass toilet humour, non-sequitors and extended metaphors, I also enjoy all forms of blogging and journalism. I get overly excited about social media tools, and plan to travel to conflict zones and strange and mysterious countries and write about my experiences.
Beyond that my friends (the term is used loosely) can do a better job at a description, in the style of a 140 character or less Tweet (I’m a big fan of Twitter, and can be found @paulfarrell89):
Peter Francis:
“best consumed fresh with a white wine sauce, light salad and a solid kick in the groin”
James Bourne @ihavenocomment:
“@paulfarrell89 shamelessly asks fellow Twitterers for plugs. But read his blog anyway, it’s pretty good.”
John Chalouhi:
“Big Asshole”
Courtney Rogers:
“an angry and lonely little man who yells at friend’s girlfriends over the phone because he’s afraid of being alone”
Gemma Kaczerepa @Gemma_Kaczerepa:
“A very proactive and morally righteous human being” (I’m sure she was being sarcastic)
Anna-Cole Groth
“my first impression? I’m working with the jewish Fonz”
Emma Kennedy
“Completely random person who can talk to a complete stranger about music in a hostel in London.”
Milly Brooks @MillyBrooks
“Confusing character; Always sleepy but never sleeps. Wears the same thing everyday but never smells bad. Seems mean but is pretty alright.”
Hopefully this has given you a bit of picture of who I am. If you would like to submit a 140 character description of me, or get in touch about some of my writing, comment it on this page. Alternatively you can get in contact via email at paulfrancisfarrell@gmail.com
If you’re one of my 5 subscribers then you may have chanced upon this little blurb, and if you have then I hope it’s been mildly entertaining and just a little informative. Please keep coming back to my blog.
